Talbot House can trace its routes back to the Crown Dormitory which was founded in 1897. Crown Dorm was formed due to increasing pupil numbers at the time. Prior to this time three dorms had existed, Cross (later Mason), Fleur de Leys (later Pelham) and Lion (later Mountgarret). We believe this is a photograph of Crown Dorm in 1906.

The lighting may point to this photo having been taken later than 1906 (I don't believe electricity was widely installed at the College in 1906) - unless the lighting is not electric of course. The attire of the boys looks Victorian, but the pictures hanging from the wall indicate the photo may well have been taken later. Some expert analysis required!
